SMHA AGM 2025
Sudbury Minor Hockey Association’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 7:00PM EST.  Will be held at the gallery at Countryside Arena. 




Proposed agenda:
(a) Approval of the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting; 
(b) Receiving reports of the activities of the Association during the preceding year; 
(c) Receiving information regarding the planned activities of the Association for the current year; 
(d) Consideration of the financial statements; 
(e) Report of the auditor or person who has been appointed to conduct a review engagement; 
(f) Ratification of the reappointment or new appointment of the auditor or a person to conduct a review engagement for the coming year; 
(g) Receiving a draft budget for the next fiscal year; 
(h) Election of the new Board of Directors of the Association; 
(i) Transaction of any other business which relates to the business of the Meeting referred to above, and Notice and particulars of which are received by the Secretary of the Association in writing no less than thirty (30) days immediately preceding the Annual General Meeting.  

Please note that at the Annual General Meeting, it is the membership’s role to vote in the number of Directors needed to complete the 12 Voting Positions. Specific Positions (i.e. President, VP, Secretary and Treasurer) are not voted on at the AGM. Positions are the responsibility of the new Board at the first Board meeting following the AGM.  

Board of Directors Nomination Forms must be received no later than Tuesday, June 03, 2025 by 6:00 pm EST.

Proposed amendments to the SMHA By-laws must be received by the Secretary of the Association in writing no less than thirty (30) days before  the Annual General Meeting. 

Proposals for other business must be received by May 19th, 2025 by 11:59pm EST.
